Homeowners
At Marshall-Sadler we are proud to offer electrical inspections to homeowners to ensure safety in the home. As a homeowner are you aware that its recommended you have an EICR report carried out every 10 years? An EICR is an Electrical Inspection Condition Report which tells you the condition of your homes electrical system.

We have the pleasure of working with many landlords in the local area carrying out electrical work to ensure landlords meet their legal obligations to their homes and tenants for electrical safety. Failure to comply could result in a financial penalty for the landlord of up to £30,000 from the local authority.
Recent legislation that came into effect in June 2020 states that all rental properties need to have the electrical installations checked at least every 5 years. From July 1st July 2020 all electrical installations must be checked before the start of a new tenancy. Any work required following the inspection must be completed within 28 days of the original inspection. A copy of the EICR must also be provided to all tenants.
